
The Rev
James Owen Sullivan, (born February 9, 1981 - died December 28, 2009 at the age of 28 years, better known as The Rev or The Reverend Tholomew Plague) is a drummer as well as a background singer for the band Avenged Sevenfold. The Rev is also the lead singer in a band Pinkly Smooth.
Career
He earned a pair of drumsticks at the age of five years, and received his own drum at the age of ten. In just one year, he was playing "The Black Page" with the student in a percussion ensemble that performed by the teacher.
In high school, joined Avenged Sevenfold as one of the founding members of this band. Sullivan was the drummer for the band ska band Suburban Legends. At the age of eighteen years he recorded the first album by Avenged Sevenfold titled "Sounding the Seventh Trumpet". Later in his life he was influenced by drummer Vinnie Paul, Mike Portnoy, and Terry Bozzio.
